Baxter
When we first adopted Baxter he was very scared and nervous. For the first three weeks he wouldn’t come out from behind the sofa, this was his safe space. It was a very frustrating time for all of us.
One night he came out and walked around the living room, we completely ignored him and we found this helped. We noticed that he would only come out for me and not my husband, he was very nervous of men.
Every day Baxter grew in confidence, going outside into the garden, learning what stairs were and that he was safe. Learnt paw, sit and middle. 7 months in and we are all still learning, it takes a lot of time, love and patience but it is completely worth it to see what an amazing dog they become.
